Learning about FoSsiLs!

Aves is CONVINCED you look through Binoculars through the large end.
.
Crazy kid :)
.

....So, one of Avery's Dinosaur library books has different 'experiments' you can do to 're~create' certain things pertaining to Dinosaurs...

So, we decided to re~create how fossils were/are formed :)
SAFETY FIRST!
(she loves magnifying glasses)

Following the steps in her library book

The look of pure concentration..

On to digging some holes to bury the sponges...

We'll dig them up in 2~3 days to find them solid as rocks with a 'crystal~like' appearance to them..

...At least that's what the book says :)...
Like her apron?? We got it at The Dollar Tree.

I'm helping because she's awesome and I love her ;)

I love how excited Aves gets to learn/try new things. She's so busy that it can be difficult at times to keep her from getting bored...but, it's amazing at what entertains them :)

Averys New Back Pack

When you decide to have children you really don't think of the things that they're going to like/enjoy. What they're going to be interested in doesn't really cross your mind. You're more concerned that they're going to come out with ten fingers and ten tones and all their vital organs working properly...

.

I ended up with this....a complete Dinosour JuNkIe!

Aves is starting pre~school the week after Labor Day and needed a back pack...

I went out to my parents so my mom could tag along.

We found ourselves at Target...upon entering the store I wasn't sure what to expect...then again it's going shopping for Avery where one never 'really' knows what to expect.

My mom and I showed Avery every pink/girl back pack they had and ZERO reaction from Avery. Until... I showed her THIS back pack! She yelled literally 'I WANT THAT ONE!!!'

It was Awesome. She is AWESOME~
Love you Avery. You'll make a believer of me yet!

July Birthdays!

Last month was kurazay with birthdays! We had a big bbq at Dave and Suzannes to celebrate them all...

Aves can spend at least 20min raking the chicken coop..

One of Averys biggest passions in life...BuBbLeS!

I love my mom :)

Grandma Meyer was in town and spent some time getting to know my side of the family...Kylee tagged along.

Another passion for Miss Aves....SwImMinG!

Harley asked Taylor to go down the slip'n'slide with him....holding hands. Harley barely had to ask and Tay politely obliged ;)

My B~E~A~utiful step~sis, Jess.

Muffin tins...the type of gifts you get after turning 30 :)

Two of the most handsome men in the world.

Ok...so maybe they're really comfortable with each other ;)

Tito being forced to join the fun.

Cash enjoying his alone time and all the attention on the trampoline.

Just~a~swingin'

After good food and visiting it was off to the park for some sand volley ball.

Great Family and Food makes for a great day! :)

My Babies :)

I love that Avery is smiling at Cash in this picture...

Man I haven't blogged in a REALLY long time. Avery's starting pre~school the week after Labor Day...Cash is getting so big and so smart! He talks to you like you can completely understand everything he's saying. He says word like ball, ba ba, da da, mom, hi, bye bye and every now and again I swear I hear him say Averys name :) He loves his sister and although she mainly beats on him she ALWAYS wants to know where he is and what he's doing at ALL times. They are a funny pair!

Todays Slogan~

'Always be a first~rate version of yourself instead of a second~rate version of somebody else'
~ Judy Garland

Avery definitely fits this particular moto. There are many days I wish I could be more like her in this aspect of my life. Sometimes it's hard not to look at all the wonderful things everyone else is doing and think 'why can't I be like that'. I think these thoughts can be beneficial to a point. For me, these thoughts can influence me to want to be a better mom, a better wife, a better friend etc.. in these instances I'm greatful..
. . I admit I have to reasure myself on more than one occasion that I'm a worth while person and my position as a stay at home mom is the greatest job I'll ever do.
. .
'At work, you think of the children you have left at home. At home, you think of the work you've left unfinished. Such a struggle is unleashed within yourself.'
~Golda Meir

I love this quote. It reminds me, also, that I would struggle with the decision if I chose to go back to work full time. Plus, I have to remind myself that life is constantly changing..I won't be a stay at home mom forever and that will be a bitter/sweet day as well!!

Love Rainy Days ;)

She is SO NAUGHTY! She knows she's not suppose to climb on the table :)
She wants to go for a stroller ride but, it's raining...

I've been taking the kids as much as I can in their new stroller.
I figure I need to get my moneys worth out of it and...
it helps keep the kids entertained and quiet ;)
Maybe we'll go for a stroller and mommy can run in spite of the rain!

Greatfuls :)

These are some random pictures that I want to share and haven't made it to the blog yet :)
.
I am so greatful for my kids and husband. We recently took a family vacation to St. George for Harley's very first triathlon and let me just say he KILLED it!!! I'll be posting pictures of it soon!

Avery is such a challenge for me and is pretty hard for me to 'handle' at times but, I can't imagine my life without her in it.
She swears because she hears us but, when she hears anyone say 'stupid' she promptly reminds them that it's a bad word!!!
She asks me at least once every other day if she can drive,
She finishes most of her sentences with 'I guess'...

These pictures of Cash in the bucket were at Christmas time! We didn't want him rolling/crawling all over the decorations so we stuck him in a bucket :)

This little guy brings the BIGGEST smile to my face. He's so easy going and is starting to jabber my ears off! I love listening to him; he totally thinks he can talk!

Avery is still obsessed with Sally. She tells everyone about her 'Sally DOG!'

We got Avery a tricycle for Easter and she STILL doesn't use the peddles! She scoots it along with her feet.

Cash is getting so big so fast it makes me sad :( I wish you could put these young times in a bottle and go back to them whenever you wanted.

I love to do Avery's hair. She hates it like most kids but, I make her let me do it. Every night after her bath I make her let me blow~dry it with a roll brush. I put a movie on for her so she's somewhat distracted but, she still hates it. It looks so pretty when it's done and it's to the middle of her back! Love it ;)

I love the role I've been given as a mother. It's so hard and challenging that every day I have to remind myself how important my job is and even though I don't get paid for it and some days it isn't very rewarding it's still the most important job I'll ever do!
