Superbowl & Tubes

We went to our sweet friends, Phillip & Carries, for the Superbowl on Sunday. It was a lot of FUN! They are the sweetest people...Carrie is such a good cook and had quite the spread ;)
...
This is me pre-superbowl, pumped and ready! This shirt I'm wearing-literally-has my name on the tag!! I HAD to buy it. It's awesomely ugly and I am in love with it....and I've been waiting a really long time to wear it! I've lost some weight over these last few months gearing up for races this year! YAY!
...
Meet Phillip & Carrie :) Beautiful couple, eh? I think so, too. Phillip and Harley have been friends since high school. Long time friends that consider each other brothers. I enjoy when we get together with these guys because Harley and Phillip tell all the stories about their history and the Marine Corps. It's pretty amazing to listen to them. There's a mini HBO series called 'Generation Kill' that contains actual events of what Phillip endured during combat in Iraq. He said it's the most accurate portrayal of a Marine....it's rad!
That cute little fella at the bottom of the picture is, Triston...he's Phillips & Carries youngest and he's hilarious!
...

...
This is Phillips sister, Rashell and her husband...
...

...

...
So, Harley had to have this tube shoved up his nose and down his throat to his stomach...
He has some stomach issues and his Doc wanted to run a 24hr test on his h pyloric levels and a few others things. He carried around what I called a 'satchel' which basically was a mini computer log so he could keep track of all the events he did throughout the day etc..
...

...
It literally rendered him imobile...and Lucy would not leave his side all day! She would shove her face on his and lick him :) Smart dog.
...

...
We were pretty excited whe he got the tube out. Harley's tough. He can handle anything ;)
...

...
Just a picture I had to post because it's so awesome. Cash beaming to be hanging out with the fam and sitting next to dad!
...

...
Life is funny sometimes. There's always something just around the corner to deal with handle etc.... More and more I'm learning to just take things as they come and make the best decisions for myself and my family! Cutting out the negative and focussing on the good. I find if I just put more of my attention where it counts and quit worrying about things that honestly won't matter a day, week, year from now my days get better and better. Worrying is pointless.
Happy Wednesday!!

you'll find me listening this song the rest of the week ;)

Our Week....

We are now in February...WHEN did this happen???? This last week was crazy..Actually, it was last Sunday that was crazy. Utah has been dumped on with snow :)The kids are absolutely loving it....
...

We were out shoveling with the kids and it quickly turned into Harley PLAYING with the kids. I tell you, these kids are pretty lucky to have such a fun dad!
...

Yes, these two pictures (above, below) are Harely throwing our children into the snow! That's how much we have! Totally safe and legit, right?
...

Snow Angels....:)
...

So, this picture (above) is the money shot. I'm still learning to use my camera....I know. I've had a lot of fun with it this last week.
...

LOOK at the snow on those bushes!!! I told Harley he had to knock the snow off them before we had an avalanche on either the kids or a dog...
...

Okay, so last Sunday we went to brunch and when we got back we noticed something weird. In the front yard there was a patch of beautiful, lush green grass beaming through all the snow. Its was just THERE looking so lovely...Totally wrong for this time of year.
...

Yep, we had a pipe leak :( I thought we had something going on when we got our city bill last month! Lame. Harley is a ROCKSTAR!...So is my dad; and my neighbor. We rented a bobcat and the boys dug six feet-in a blizzard. It was a muddy mess and despite the freezing cold winds and snow blowing in their faces sideways they got the job done. I was without water for most of the day so I busted out my emergency supplies! Here's to being prepared! (now I need to replace it)
...

So, while the boys were out playing in the snow I had to keep these youngins busy.
...
I got out some canvases and paint and put them to work...
...
I got this idea off of Pinterest. I love pinterest. So many fun creative ideas!
...

I love that Cash is still so into dinosaurs. Lunch time usually consists of an army of dinos helping him eat.
...

Sally literally follows me everywhere...STILL! I love this dog. I'm starting to take her more and more places with me. Sometimes I feel bad leaving the other dogs home but, I can't lie that she's my favorite...but, she also makes it CLEAR that I'm her favorite as well!

you will find me listening to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9_xniHg8pc :song on repeat. can't. get. enough.
